Oils are heat and light-sensitive. Most oil presses used today are expeller or screw presses which are very efficient at pressing oil, however they produce a great deal of heat via friction in the process. We DO NOT use that type of press, instead, we use a cold Hydraulic press where the temperature never exceeds 80-90 degrees F.
Our freshly pressed oil is immediately bottled in opaque containers to avoid photodegradation. Together with our true cold-press process means that you will get the highest quality, un-damaged oil made anywhere.
